2020 December Club Pack
The fields are frosty, the air is crisp, and our December Club Packs have been delivered across the country to kick start the festive fun. They may not have been posted down the chimney (Royal Mail have enough on their plate!) but they’re guaranteed to bring a bunch of yuletide joy to the whole family.
Along with their new and exclusive audio cards, our members celebrated with a Christmas crossword, holiday colouring page, and by learning about other fabulous festivals happening this time of year. If you want to see what our members received this month in their Yoto stockings, keep on reading!
The Juicebox Jukebox - Now Hear This!
We love discovering new musical maestros here at Yoto, and when we came across The Juicebox Jukebox we knew we had to share it with the Yoto family. Created by the brilliant Bradley James - Dallas based singer/songwriter and father of three -- The Juicebox Jukebox’s debut album “Now Hear This” is a delightful collection of handcrafted songs that will be sure to get the whole family dancing around the living room.
The album is full of a mix of different musical styles and melodies all focusing on common themes of fun, positivity and education. With 14 toe-tapping tracks from ‘The ABC’s of You’ to ‘Kindness’ and ‘Shh, Apes!’ - there’s something to inspire everyone to sing-along, dance, smile, be kind and be you! Track 7 - “Questions for Santa” - makes it the perfect addition to our December club pack.
Winter Stories - Enid Blyton
A dazzling selection of short stories from the world's best-loved storyteller, Enid Blyton, Winter Stories is the perfect heartwarming collection of thirty (yes, 30!) classical tales celebrating the magic and excitement of winter, perfect for cuddling in close on these cold nights.
The ideal length for listening to at bedtime or in the car, these lovely, light-hearted tales are full of winter wonders guaranteed to have little listeners feeling cosy and festive, and grown-ups feeling nostalgic. From ‘A Little Snow House’ to ‘The Hungry Little Robin’ and ‘Mr. Twiddle and the Snowman’, these frosty tales are full of magic and mystery and will continue to delight listeners for many winters to come.
Even if it’s raining outside, with over 5 hours of audio, this card is bound to have you dreaming of snowball fights and sleigh rides!
Yoto’s 12 Days of Christmas
Us Yoto Elves wanted to cook up a Christmas cracker of a card specially for our Yoto Club members as a holiday treat, so we created Yoto’s 12 Days of Christmas just for them.
Written and recorded by the team here at Yoto, this original card is full of jolly goodness and features a mix of holiday games, jokes, activities, facts, songs, stories and more! There’s 12 festive tracks to count down to the big day - listen all at once, or unwrap one each day to help get you in the spirit.
There’s Christmas carols, a Christmas poem, a game of “Guess the Christmas Sound”, and some tricky Christmas riddles to untangle. There’s also amazing facts about Kwanzaa, Diwali and Hanukkah, a lesson on how to say ‘Merry Christmas’ in different languages, as well as tips and tricks on how to give the gift of recycling to the planet this year and have a greener holiday season.
With all of this and even more bundled inside this Christmas cracker of a card, we’re sure that it’s just the ticket to a festive and fabulous December. We hope everyone enjoys getting in on the festive fun as much as we did when creating it!
We didn’t want any of our Club members to miss out on our 12 Days of Christmas surprise - so we included it in both our age groups this month. But don’t worry, we snuck in an extra card to any subscribers who are members of both clubs to make up for the double-up! (We won’t give everything away, but it featured a little well-known Reindeer with a glowing red nose, who may or may not have helped save Christmas.)
